Welcome to The Deal, January 2019
As we move into 2019 the question remains is how the final Brexit decision will affect the economy moving forward. Fortunately we believe East Lancashire remains in a strong position and once we have clarity from the government and the certainty business requires, prospects for the region will look even better.
Many prestigious developments will be coming forward during the course of this year. The speculative units at Frontier will shortly be completed with the first occupier hoping to be named shortly. Elsewhere in Blackburn plans are in place for a further phase of Cathedral Square on the back of the successful first phase.
In Burnley there will be further good news with regard to Burnley Bridge South and Titanium Park during the course of the year and within the town centre the flagship Vision Park continues to attract occupiers from the area.
It is noticeable that developers are now looking at bringing forward speculative schemes throughout the region with sites in Pendle and the Ribble Valley also currently under consideration.
The outlook therefore remains positive and the problem of poor levels of stock over the last 12 to 18 months looks like it may be being addressed.
