Merry Christmas!
What a year 2018 has been – without mentioning the “B” word, more uncertainty is not good for business. The retail market in the high street continues to concern all, including Local Authorities, landlords and tenants. A fundamental re-balance of the costs of occupying the high street is required and the industry requires government to intervene.
On a positive note, the demand for industrial accommodation continues across the size ranges. Where developers have speculatively built they have been rewarded with occupiers. The development at Frontier Park at Junction 6 of the M65 in Blackburn is well under way with full services opened and units of 20,000 sq. ft. to 185,000 sq. ft. will be coming to the market in the New Year.
A dose of sensibility and stability is required for 2019!
