Welcome to The Deal, April 2019
In our last Deal Newsletter back in January 2019, we gave a positive outlook for the East Lancashire property scene and cited a number of developments to support this optimism.
In light of the current Brexit indecision still looming large over the UK economy, I have taken another brief look at those and other developments to see whether that positive outlook remains or is wavering at all.
A Lancashire based company, Tek-Dry Systems Limited, has leased a 61,000 sq. ft. unit of the total 400,000 sq. ft. total accommodation at Frontier Park with construction of the 185,000 sq. ft. unit (FP1) now complete and ready for occupation.
The second phase of Cathedral Square has received planning consent and marketing of the proposed office accommodation will be launched shortly.
Barnfield’s development of Millbank Business Park at M65 Junction 4 will start early summer which should help to satisfy the current demand for industrial units up to 20,000 sq. ft.
A number of mixed use developments are proposed for the RibbleValley with planning applications to be submitted shortly.
Nothing further to report regarding Burnley Bridge South and Titanium Park in Burnley but Michael remains optimistic that his anticipated ‘good news’ will be announced later this year.
The outlook has certainly not wavered and therefore remains positive. Let’s hope that the illusive Brexit decision will be the impetus for yet more positivity.

Carry On Regardless
