2012 may be the year when government finally recognised the importance of the construction section and the role they play in the economy. Large infrastructure projects are always welcomed, but private sector construction will rejuvenate the economy as it has in the past, and particularly in the regional economies.
Government support of LEPs is vital to a region such as ours, but lack of assistance with funding and empty rates continue to be a significant drag on progress.
Government we hope will continue to listen to business at the grass roots.
