The new coalition government certainly cannot be accused of being inactive. Chancellor George Osborne delivered a tough budget, as he said he would, to reduce the national debt. As an aftermath we are now currently witnessing the effects on the public sector as the cuts bite.
The prime concern within the heart of Lancashire is that the much needed regeneration of our towns and delivery of economic opportunities is being threatened, as limited funds may be directed to easy wins in other parts of the region.
