BURNLEY BRIDGE BUSINESS PARK, JUNCTION 9, M65

BURNLEY BRIDGE BUSINESS PARK, JUNCTION 9, M65

Planning Consent recently granted for a 70 acre Business Park within Burnley.

Planning consent has recently been confirmed for a new landmark M65 Business Park adjacent to Junction 9 of the M65.

Eshton, the developers, obtained planning consent for a mixed use Business Park to include offices and hotels on the frontage with B1, B2, B8 consent for the majority of the site.  A seven acre area of the Park has also obtained planning consent for residential development.

Already Findel PLC have confirmed their commitment for a new 200,000 sq. ft. plus high bay distribution centre with work on the building scheduled to commence in the spring.

The Business Park will be linked to the M65 via a new bridge link over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and will then become the largest opportunity for businesses to relocate along the M65.

James Chapman, Managing Director of Yorkshire based firm Eshton, comments:

This is a massive regeneration scheme for the Burnley region, which will have significant benefits for the local economy and community, especially in these challenging economic times.  Burnley Bridge Business Park is a long term commitment to us to the region.  It will revive the old Hepworth site and provide sustainable employment in an excellent strategic location.”

Our Burnley office has been retained jointly with Dove Haigh Phillips to market this prestigious scheme and are already in discussions with a number of other potential occupiers for the site.

Business units are available on a design and build basis and we are confident that given the site’s location that it will be high on the list of any companies looking to expand their facilities along the M65 corridor.

We are also jointly marketing the residential development opportunity and interested parties should contact Michael Cavannagh on 01282 458007.
