The UK’s largest bed retailer, Bensons for Beds, has taken over 11,000 sq. ft. of offices at the Globe Business Centre in Accrington.
The deal was put together by Trevor Dawson acting on behalf of the Centre’s owners, Globe Enterprises. The enquiry had been identified and it quickly became apparent that the Globe Centre was an ideal fit for the company to retain their skilled workforce already based in the borough on Huncoat Business Park. The group, which also owns Harveys, will be taking on a further twenty Customer Services staff, allowing an eighty strong team to be based in the centre of Accrington.
The converted former mill was originally developed by a joint venture between local entrepreneur Stuart Nevison, Barnfield Construction and Hyndburn Borough Council. The building offers extensive accommodation over four floors with on-site conferencing and café facilities.
Globe Centre Manager, Nikki Holbrook, commented, “Having Bensons for Beds within the Globe Centre is a huge boost for Accrington and demonstrates the superb offering of the Centre with high specification offices, excellent parking provision and access to the road network. The Centre is also very close to the rail and new bus station. Bensons complements the wide range of businesses already within the Centre, including the CMac Partnership and the National Care Group. We are very pleased that Trevor Dawson were able to secure the deal on our behalf and we wish Bensons every success as they join the Globe Centre.”
